With the addition of the categories feature, we looked at other requested capabilities that could use parts of the underlying categories engine within WorkflowLab. The request that stood out was the ability to track workflow item status.
After speaking with the community regarding WorkflowLab, a number of people were excited with WorkflowLab as a great way to get projects started. They liked the workflow starting points that helped take a lot of the guesswork out of understanding how to start a new project, but they wanted to use WorkflowLab alongside of their project workflow to help track and further annotate the workflow with tips and ticks for things that worked, and didn’t, to help their future projects be more successful.
With this feedback, we added a new task completion status feature that allows users to identify individual statuses for each of their workflow items.

Each task can be marked with one of the following statuses:
- No status
- Not started
- In Progress
- Completed
- At Risk
- Failed
Each status has an associated icon that appears on the workflow item in the interactive chart and can be adjusted using the task status drop down.

We hope that this feature is a great first step in providing more capabilities for WorkflowLab to help document more information on best practices and to help show what contributes to creating efficient and successful projects.
Be sure to stay tuned for more upcoming beta features of WorkflowLab! The current release of WorkflowLab is available at Adobe Labs (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/workflowlab) and uses Adobe AIR. Stay tuned for more upcoming features in WorkflowLab beta!

Cool feature. Are you guys looking at the possibility of having progress indicators like 10/20/30/etc % complete? This is very useful when checking on a bunch of tasks when task life cycle may be more than a few minutes or hours.
Hi,
I’ve just downloaded your application and I like it! Momently I have a lot of projects and that’s the ideal opportunity to test this application.
But I miss just one thing, and that’s the possibility to track the time that I actually work on my project.
Now I use ‘Agile Tracker’ (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/marketplace/index.cfm?event=marketplace.offering&offeringID=10279) for this feature, but it would be great if you can implement this at Workflowlab.
Further, I wish you a lot of success with developing this application!
Thanks for the feedback!
Good idea…We can consider adding that to the existing status drop down. Would you want set percentages, or the ability to set a custom one (like 14%), or would 0/25/50/75/100 suffice?
